I have a programmed job which occasionally executes the storcli64.exe utility to check the status of our raid array. This normally works perfectly but occasionally it will fail and returns the following:
CLI Version = 007.2417.0000.0000 Apr 21, 2023
Operating system = Windows Server 2022
Controller = 0
Status = Failure
Description = Controller 0 not found
If I execute the command again, it works but I'd like to work out why it fails randomly. This only occurs every couple of months, so its totally random and doesn't coincide with any notable events, like reboots or software installation.
Any ideas?

Re: MR Storage Admin storcli64.exe occasionally returns controller missing
Unfortunately I'm not going to know if this works or not until it *hasn't* failed for a few months. As I mentioned this occurs infrequently so knowing that it has been resolved is not something immediate.

Re: MR Storage Admin storcli64.exe occasionally returns controller missing
Unfortunately it didn't work.
The monitoring routine failed again a couple of days ago with the same symptoms, 0 controllers found. Once again it auto-fixed itself a few hours later.

SolutionHello,
I recommend that you open a support case with HPE, as I suspect this may be due to a miscommunication regarding a hardware or software issue.
Cheers...
