We have several DL380 Gen10 Plus servers with HPE MR416i-a Gen10 Plus controllers and we have read the following document:
Bulletin: (Revision) HPE MR416i-a Gen10 Plus Controller - "Controller Write Cache Data Has Been Lost" Message May Appear During POST After an Unexpected Shutdown
https://support.hpe.com/hpesc/public/docDisplay?docId=a00131879en_us
Then we applied the PSOC firmware flash update on two of them with similar results.

One update complained that the PSOC was corrupted and the other didn't, but the final message was the same. This sounds like I need to visit the site to disconnect the AC from these two servers. Or can I get away with remote powering down the server and restarting with the iLO?
I'm guessing that might not be good enough and I need to visit the site, but I'm hoping someone can confirm.

SolutionHello,
I believe the "cold boot" option from the iLO virtual power should suffice for this.

Re: MR416i-a Gen10 Plus Controller - AC power cycle required
Thanks for the feedback. First I shutdown applications/containers, then in Red Hat Linux ran:
$ sudo shutdown --poweroff now
>> I believe the "cold boot" option from the iLO virtual power should suffice for this.
There didn't appear to be a "cold boot" option in the iLO at this stage, most likely because I used the "poweroff" option, so I just selected "Momentary Press".
The system came up, I was able to login and ran the firmware setup again and checked the newest log:
