MR416i-a Geno10+ RAID Controller and Drive HBA Passthrough issue

I am running into some issues with provisioning a couple HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers with the MR416i-a Gen10+ RAID controllers. For reference, the following was done so far:

  • Setting the first two drives (with logical array) to RAID 1 for OS - Windows Server 2022 Datacenter.
  • Trying additional 4x 1.92 TB drives set with either Unconfigured good or JBOD to be passthru for deploying storage space direct.

The issue I have seen is that the drives still show as RAID and unwilling to be used for passthru for whatever reason. I was not sure if there are options to either order/used a new RAID controller that would allow for passthru mode and/or if there are any options to be able to move forward with S2D with the current disk controller.

Thanks,

Ryan

Re: MR416i-a Geno10+ RAID Controller and Drive HBA Passthrough issue

Greetings!
Please find the MR controller user guide for creating JBOD:

- Try to clear the Raid Configuration and check the status.
