Multi Initiator Configuration

Can anyone point me to some docmentation as to how to configure my 64Bit dual channel in a Proliant ml350 G2? I have looked every and googled it without luck. If I set the card id to 0, it seems to populate all the slots-same with 1. I am using 5 now, but I don't know if this is correct-does it relatr to the IRQ(which is 5)?

Thanks!

Re: Multi Initiator Configuration

Onboard SCSI controller ?
You not configuring 64-bit controller at all. Unless you have another SCSI controller all setting can be left by default from F9.
What you need to do is Configure Jumpers if Hot-Plug cage is not used.
If Hot-Plug Cage used you don't need any Jumpers for Universal Drives.
Also HP Cage already terminated.

Friendly and simple explanation

Re: Multi Initiator Configuration

Thanks, but there seems to still be an issue. On boot it comes to a line that reads Compaq Ultra3 Bios , then suggests Ctrl+A to enter the configuration utility. I can't find any documentation that tells you which ID to use, and wheter or not the reset should be enabled. This seems to be critical as the boot will hang here on occasion. I know it is not the drive, because I was able to run diags on it and it was fine. There is no F9 option in this utility.

Thanks!

Re: Multi Initiator Configuration

Well, I believe I stumbled upon it. I set the first controler to 1 (seems obvious, but it didn't work initially) the key seems to be to set the reset to Disable. Out of desperation , I tried it and it's now working well for me.

Thanks much for the help!

See my previous post.

For all those desperate for documentation, it doesn't seem to exist. Hope my experience helps !

Good Luck!
