Need chassis key for Proliant DL380 G5

Trying to access the internals of our ProLiant DL380 G5 server.

Do not have the hey.
How do we get one?
Or is it just a funny screwdriver bit?

thanks,
tomk

You mean the latch on the lid? If memory serves, that is a "standard" Torx T15. If you look at the back of the system you _may_ see a little black "L" shaped bit of metal in a holder. IIRC that will have a T15 sized head on it. I've seen them on the backs of some HP systems, I cannot assert they are on the backs of all of them.

Hi,

Use the below link for animated removal of the parts. The link is very useful to access the right parts.
http://h20464.www2.hp.com/index.html

Select Server>HP Proliant DL Server> HP Proliant DL380 G5> Remove/Replace Videos
Select Access panel in the new window and watch the vedio.
Access panel removal
1.Using a Torx-15 screwdriver, turn the lock to the unlocked position.
2. Pull up on the latch to release the access panel.
3. Slide the panel back.
4. Lift the panel from the server.

Cheers,
Anand
