Need to query for HDD info
Hello all,
Just wondering if anyone new a way to query WMI to get HDD model/size info. I've been able to get what I need from survey.txt and surveybase.xml files but they are so verbose so I wanted to just write a clean script to get the info I need. Right now, I can get everything I need except drive model. Anyone have any ideas? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Need to query for HDD info
You can download the sourcecode for winventory to check how the disk information is obtained, is available at:
winventory.sourceforge.net
winventory.sourceforge.net
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: Need to query for HDD info
Just suggestion:
you can use HP SIM (free application)
http://h18013.www1.hp.com/products/servers/management/hpsim/index.html
With HP SIM you can create any report (include drives models).
Maybe you can ask this question in HP SIM forum as well:
