New Harddrive
I just installed a new 30G harddrive on this old server. I had already converted it from Novell to Win98 and it runs fine. The problem is it will not recognize the new drive. I also cannot access my BIOS. The old drive is a SCSI and I want to copy from it to the new drive once I get it running. I even bought a new Ulta ATA/100 controller card and installed. I worked with Fdisk some but have had no luck. Any ideas????

Re: New Harddrive
you can try updating the rom to the latest but i suspect that the age of the server will play a role in it not recognizing the drive...try the rompaq update..any large disk support updates will be taken care of through that..IF there is one for this server then that will fix the issue
We are here for a good time, not a long time!

Re: New Harddrive
Dear A.B.,
Did you ever resolve this issue? I'd like to install a 20GB IDE disk in my ProSignia 200, and I have upgraded the BIOS to the most recent one, but it doesn't specify if this BIOS overcomes the 8.4GB barrier, the 33.2GB barrier, etc. Thanks,
Kendall Hunter

Re: New Harddrive
Same thing happened to me, i want to install 20gb seagate harddrive but the bios show only 8.4. i try silicon image ata controller but the bios only detect the card only as "PCI Mass Storage Controller" without any disc information. i looked this website and they sell Promise Fasttrack RAID Controller, is this card support prosignia 200?
