NIC errors
Our server has been running with the built-in NIC and has been operating just fine. It has been configured to operate with both IPX (802.2 and 802.3) and TCP/IP.
We just added a second NIC to our server (DLink DFE-538TX), configured for TCP/IP only. There are no conflicts, the board driver loads fine (after we downloaded the latest from DLink) and the card is plugged into a separate hub. However, when we bind IP to the board, we begin receiving the following error message on the server console:
CPQNF3-NW-902-Adapter 1-Board 1: Adapter Check 100002: Address Parity Error
What could be causing this error? If we unplug the NIC from the new hub, the error discontinues. Although I wouldn't imagine it to be necessary, do I have to configure and bind IPX to the board as well?
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Re: NIC errors
I seem to have solved my problem with cranky the NIC. I replaced it with an Intel Pro/100+ and things are running just fine.
Last time I stick a D-Link into my server :)

Re: NIC errors
Try updating the NIC drivers and the associate drivers from the latest NSSD from Compaq .
