NIC
I have a DL380 server with an embedded NIC NC3163. I am trying to load Novell 4.11 but the LAN drivers fail to load because the slot number of the LAN card is "NONE" by default but Novell only supports values of 1-65535. Is there a workaround for this issue? I have NSSD 6.20A and I have loaded SP9 for Netware but I still cannot proceed. If anyone can offer a suggestion it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Jean

Re: NIC
I also have a DL-380 with the 3163 NIC and I can get 4.11 to recognize it (but I have other problems not related to the NIC.
1. Be sure you are loading the N100... driver for the 3163 from the c:\nwudate directory you made at the beginning of the install. Enter SLOT=10001 at the card should come alive. Don't enter any slot for the embedded RAID controller. Hope this helps.
Now if you can get the install to also install Service Pack 9a without stopping during the SP install..... PLEASE let me know how you did it.
