nvme harddisk not getting detected while trying to install ubuntu server

Hi Guys,

I recently bought a new ML 30 Gen 10 server here at India with 2 nos. of 1TB harddisks. While installing the harddisks in the server I found out that there was a nvme slot on the mother board which I wanted to use it as a boot drive.

I have installed  a 250GB nvme harddrive and wanted to install Ubuntu server in it.

Neither in the system utilities nor while installing the ubuntu server except for the two 1TB Harddisks, the nvme 250GB harddrive doesn't show up. Also in the System Information under System Utilities I can see that the NVMe slot is enabled. Yet the NVMe harddrive doesn't show up while trying to install ubuntu server for using it as the boot drive.

Has anyone faced this problem before? Also I am looking forward for some answers for resolving this issue ?

Regards

Aadithya

Hi,

Please see the QuickSpecs of the server, check if the NVMe drive is compatible with this server.
