online firmware update for linux

I have 700 DL-360 boxes(g3 - g5) of varying ages. I'd like to firmware update a box via ilo and the linux command line. I know I can build a script to flash rombios, the nics, the controller individually.

Is there a way to get the functionality of the offline cd (determine what the hardware is and choose the proper updates for me, then install) via ilo and console? Kind of like installing the hp linux layer using --nui (no gui user interface) ?
