P410 265MB+BBU poor write performance
Hi Guys,
my setup is as follows:
- HP ProLiant SE316M1 (=DL160 G6)
- 32 GB Ram
- P410 265MB+BBU (definetely enabled)
- 4x 1TB WD VelociRaptor (WDC WD1000DHTZ-0)
- Raid 1+0
- Windows Server 2012 Standard
After successfully installing Windows Server 2012 and all latest drivers, updates and firmwares I noticed that the write performance was incredibly poor. The BBU is installed an working correctly. R/W radio is set to 25/75. Does someone have an idea what could be wrong in my setup?
Thanks & regards

Re: P410 265MB+BBU poor write performance
Hi,
From the specs given, I have two questions:
Is the WD VelociRaptor a HP model and is it compatible with this controller?
Second question, is Windows 2012 compatible with this server?
I would say NO to both the questions.
Coming to Read/Write ratio, refer to this document Configuring Arrays on HP Smart Array Controllers Reference Guide.
Try the following Read:write ratio
100:0
50:50
Good Luck
Thank You!
I am a HP employee
