P420i array card writes severely slowly
I have a dl360p G8 server. When I use p420i for array configuration, I find that only raid0 can be used in RAID configuration (my hard disk is 7 pieces of 300g SAS). So I reluctantly used the array setup program in the SPP image to turn on the HBA mode, but I found that when I turned on the HBA mode, I found that the writing speed of the hard disk was extremely slow, only 9m / S! When I switch raid mode, the write speed is still not normal. Is there anything I did wrong?
P. S all firmware is the latest. The array card driver is version 8.0.0. NVRAM has been cleared

Re: P420i array card writes severely slowly
Hi,
As per the QuickSpecs for this server https://www.hpe.com/psnow/doc/c04128242
Storage Controller for Entry Models
HP Smart Array P420i/ZM (RAID 0/1/1+0) Base Models
HP Smart Array P420i/1GB with FBWC (RAID 0/1/1+0/5/5+0/6/6+0)
ZM means zero memory, there is no cache module for the controller, still it should support RAID 1.
Try configuring only two drives in RAID 1 and see if the speed is satisfactory.
Thanks

Re: P420i array card writes severely slowly
Hello,
RAID 1 will only work with even number of drives.
For Example, if you have 8 drives, you will only get the capacity if 4 drives. 50% usable capacity.
Thanks.

Re: P420i array card writes severely slowly
I'm very sorry to reply now
I tested raid0 mode, and the write is still 10m / s
Is there any way to completely clear the server configuration (together with the array card configuration)
P. S I'm really in ZM mode. Do I need to buy cache (only HbA mode, I use raidz mode)
