pci bifurcation DL580

we are trying to assemble new DB server and looking to use DL580. our maximum load is data exchange between CPU and harddrives. so we need max possible number of .M2 drives. can we use PCI bifurcation on Dl580.

Is it DL580 Gen8 or Gen9
