PCI Modem Install
I've tried a USR 56k PCI Fax Modem in my system, but can't get NT to recognize it as a modem. Can anyone suggest an alternative PCI Modem that I coud try?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: PCI Modem Install
NT server? I just finished installing a USR 56K PCI modem(3C5610A) in a proliant ML370. NT doesn't detect it but it will let you install it in the modem control panel.

Re: PCI Modem Install
Brain, thanks. Can you tell me which COM port you installed on? That may be my problem. I've tried on COM1 & COM2 (the only ports listed), but no luck.
Thanks again,

Re: PCI Modem Install
It automatically created COM port 3 when I installed it. When you add a modem, don't let NT try to detect it, select from a list instead and then hit "have disk". Browse to the "nt4\" directory on the USR cd. It will ask for a COM port and COM 3 should be available.
