POST Error: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure
Hi,
The last week we add 4 processors (we had only 4) to a Proliant server, but today crashes unexpectly, disabling the 4 new processors, at startup the Compaq log viewer shows this message:
POST Error: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure, Cache Accelerator Slot 2 ----Action----- Reconfigure or Replace.
Any idea???
Thank you.

Re: POST Error: 220-Runtime Cache Accelerator Failure
Hello Luis,
Is your problem something like the following:
Problem Description
CACHE accelerators failing and generating a 220 error at POST. This is reported to happen most often after an improper shutdown (power failure, system is power cycled due to an OS lockup).
Symptoms
The system will report a 220 error at POST. The following is an example IML:
Compaq Integrated Management Log

Resolution/Workaround
Replacing the accelerator usually corrects the issue. If this does not fix it then log in a call with the support to have the issue escalated.
