The Management of Compaq
We saw through this to register our immense dissatisfaction in what he says respect to the technical attendance and support of its products.
Our company this headquartered one in Natal city in Rio Grande do Norte State and we acted today in six states of the Northeast in the area of distribution of medications. We always trusted the mark COMPAQ for they be the Servers of data of our company.
Until the moment we already acquired four servers, which we had never had any problem. We trusted the mark and in the three year-old warranty on site with attendance priority in case of servers.
Unhappily our main server burned the power supply on March 30 (one Friday), we took for the local technical attendance, HOT-LINE (that has the low technical level and a terrible attendance for sign), on this same day, which requested other power supply the change base (Code of the request of the power for Hot Line come back by COMPAQ: 2683728), tends in view that the equipment still meets in warranty and with less than a year of use.
For our safety we bought to a hawker in Recife/PE an extra power supply that would be of reservation (original power supply COMPAQ Part Number 163346-001). This arrived on April 04 (Wednesday). the following day Hot Line sent its technician for installation of the power supply. An hour and a half after tied up the machine, there was also other damage in the power supply. We called the support and they informed us that this power supply would probably have come already damaged. It was requested a new one then, because a warranty of 90 days exists for pieces according to information of the support. Until this date the power supply requested by Hot Line in warranty, it had not at least been made money by Compaq, at least in the moment in that made the connection for the support which in it informed it on the 06 (Friday) that had already been made money in the invoice of number 210067 on the 05.
What has today of Hot Line it is that this source is already since yesterday in Natal city, however there was a fiscal problem in the liberation of the same and we will only receive tomorrow (12) or perhaps next Monday (16).
Then as it is that it can continue trusting that mark, if in the hour in that needed we have to be waiting 18 (EIGHTEEN) days to solve a problem in a Server. Time this that can still last plus, if the problem is in some other component that is damaging the power supply, since the next source to be placed will be Wednesday. Our electric net was verified and approved, because doubt existed to this respect.
That is absurd, it is intolerable.
We asked to that management that becomes aware of this fact and intervene our respect, because it will be extremely unpleasant for COMPAQ to have its name being disclosed as a company that renders a terrible technical service.
