Power Supply burn-out?

And now for something completely different, at least to me.

I have a DL380G7 with two 750W power supplies installed for several years.   Last year they installed a Powercom KIN-2200 UPS (detailed specs below).   They have had the occassional power fail before and the UPS worked and all was well.   Yesterday the power went off so that the battieries fully discharged and UPS stopped.

When power came back the server did not.  Console and router connected to the UPS came back ... everything came back except the server:  BOTH 750W power supplies were dead.  As door nails.  Both had to be replaced in order for the server to power up -- but once replaced the entire installation is fully operational.

Has anyone heard of a UPS causing a power supply to burn out?

Please share the IML logs and also let me know the status of the LED on Power supply after the event.

There are chances that there could have been a surge during the event. However, UPS logs can show that.
Also, the power supply could have issues already and encountered the problem at the time of power off.
