I get an error message every couple of weeks saying System Power Supplies Not Redundant. When you look at the power supplies they show as ok just not redundant. Any ideas?

Update the server ROM, System Configuration Utility, Drivers and Insight Manager. Updates for this server can be located at the following URL:

You may want to check you power supply monitoring program. I have had this problem and found that the error was coming up because the Power supplies were running more than 50 percent of capacity. Have you added any more equipment to the server. If so you may want to add another power supply. These power supplies are load sharing, so if they are running more than 50 percent and one drops out it may crash your server with a power supply failure.

Make sure that if you have 3 drive cages, you need 3 power supplies for any of them to be redundant. Use of all 3 drive cages requires a minimum of 2 power supplies, so if that is all you have, and one goes, you do not have the third to back it up.
