Pushing F10 during boot doesn't do anything

I am trying to get at the advanced setup under the F10 function during bootup (Ctrl A) however, it doesn't go to the partition menu it just flows through to another press F1 to continue prompt. Is there some piece of software I am missing or an internal switch that needs to be set to allow this function?

Hi, it might just be that either you don?t have the system partition (f10) or it might just be corrupted. In this case you can run the system configuration off floppy and access the advance mode that way. You wont be able to get thought the advance mode with the smart start cd. Here is the sp number: sp19619. Hope this will help.
