thanks for all.
i need help because i have hp proliant dl 380 and controller raid 6i with two disk in raid 1 and also attached hp storage works dat 72 hot plug. the problem is the O.S. RED HAT ENTERPRISE LINUX 3 don't see the device tape.
where is the problem???

I think you should properly configure your cabling for duplex SCSI connection (i,e, separate bus for tape):
