Problem with Streamer DAT

I using Compaq ProLiant DL380 with COMPAQ Smart Array 5i Controler in Slot 0. In this server is install Hot Plug-In hard drive ID=0 and Hot Plug-Inn Tape DAT Drive 20/40 GB ID=5 after start system detecting DAT drive "Tape Drive Detected: SCSI Port 2 : SCSI ID 5"
I installed SCO Open Server Enterprise System 5.0.6 supplement rs506a
after this.
After Tape installation and rebuild kernrl and restart system, if I want check this device by tar command system writ me massage "tar: cannot open: /dev/rct0

Officially, Hot-Plug DAT tape drives are not supported with Openserver. But you can try this wrokaround:
# mkdev tape

install SCSI tape drive with ciss driver, SCSI host adapter 0, SCSI Bus # 2, Target ID # 0 and LUN 0
Relink the kernel and reboot
check the sconf -v and make sure of the tape cofigruation
then try the TAR with the device name /dev/rStp0
