problems mirroring a Proliant
Hi, I have two Proliant ML370 Servers configured with a smart array controller and two 18.2 Gb disks in RAID 1.
I'm trying to "mirror" one of them, so I think that the fastest way would be to take one of the disks of the server 1, and put it in the other server as the only disk.
I did it, and now when the server 2 boots and windows 2000 is starting up, it hangs right before going to graphical mode.
When I tried with "safe mode", I found that it hangs loading "mup.sys".
Server 1 is a Pentium III 800 Mhz, and server 2 is a Pentium III 733Mhz, so they may be slightly different (talking about hardware).
Thanks for any suggestion.

Re: problems mirroring a Proliant
MUP.SYS is the Multiple UNC Provider driver, which redirects I/O requests to various devices. Typically the MUP determines whether a request is local or over the network. So just as a guess, you might check to see if the two serevrs have the same NIC configuration.
