Please run the latest system configuration via SP19619. Which is downloadable from the following link:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/13227.html
Also make sure that in the System BIOS your OS shows whatever you have.

I was disappointed to find this also. Windows 2003 disables older Pentium pro processors upon install. The only way (per Microsoft) to resolve is to upgrade the CPUs. I was fully loaded and had to re-format going back to 2000 server for SMP.
