Proliant DL180 ILO question
I recently learned that ILO in a Proliant DL180 is somehow done with the installed onboard dual NIC instead of with a separate network jack.
1. Does ILO still get its own IP address??
2. Are there any security or operational issues or risks with doing ILO this way??
3. Is it better to buy the addon HP remote management adapter??
4. If I first use whatever embedded ILO is related to the installed NIC, can I readily switch to using the HP adapter??
Thank you, Tom

Re: Proliant DL180 ILO question
I read everything...very confusing...methinks typical BigCo way of trying to squeeze more money to do things differently in one server than within another.
Thank you, Tom
