ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus v2 fan speed always more then 55% (too much noise)

After populating the NVMe SSD drive in Slot 2 (using PCI-E adaptor), the server cooling algorithm has changed - the fan speed cannot be reduced by less than 55%, but it is possible to set more. I tried different scenarios, even

All firmware is up-to-date. At the Post or OS loading the speed changes down to 30%, but always goes back to 55% after the boot is complete. Hotest point inside case is 40 C.

Hi,

the NVMe Drives need better Cooling:
From QuickSpec:

Notes:
- Max Performance Fan Kit (P38506-B21) must be selected if any of the below options is in the order
8SFF NVMe U.3 BP  (P38476-B21),  8SFF NVMe U.2 BP  (P38479-B21)

Check the Fan Label, if you have the Max Perf Fan Kit, if you already have, I see no way to lower the Speed.
If not it may help to change the Fans.

I am not using U.2 or U.3 SSDs, only one M.2 in the PCIe riser. I think the main problem is wrong server temperature control scenario, in which i cannot override fans speed even if the temperature is twice safier then normal.

same problem, no solution from HPe. Two ProLiant DL325 Gen10 Plus with 55% Fan Speed minimum. Is there a special Bios Setting with the 0x19?

Same problem here.

The fans run constantly at 55% as long as a card is plugged into PCIe 1. As soon as you remove the card everything is fine and the fans run at 13%. An Intel i350 T4 is installed here. It doesn't matter whether single rotor fans or high-performance fans are installed, the phenomenon remains. If 8 fans are plugged in, fan 2 is displayed as non-redundant, but the status is ok. Is that correct?

I forgot to say that a HPE technican was already onsite and changed the Mainboard and some Fans.

HPE Smart Array E208e-p SR Gen10 is installed in PCI-E Slot 1. HPe Support told me to change the Card with the intel i350, but this dosen' fix the problem. Last Support idea was to change the Server Board / entire Server.

Does hpe have any plans to solve this problem? At least one opinion would be expected. The problem seems to be represented on both generations and not solved. (Gen 10 Plus and Gen 10 Plus V2).

here the feedback from HPE:

The I350-T4 PCI adapter doesn't support thermal reading via Legacy SMBus or MCTP. So, this behavior is
working as designed. And its the only supported 1GB Network Card for the Server.

Interestingly the same Card is working in my Dell Server without Thermal problems.

For me this ist unsatisfactory.
