Proliant DL360 Gen10 - Ethernet not working

The LOM1 port 1 and 2 is not responding when connected (no RX/TX lights). Had this up and running on the office, but when we placed it at customer-site, none of the ports is responding. Is there a known issue?

Re: Proliant DL360 Gen10 - Ethernet not working

Hello,

The network link may go down for quite a few reasons. You may check for the following and see if it helps:

  1. Check if the network cable is still attached to the server.
  2. If so, then check for the presence of LED activity on the port.
  3. If the cable is present, but no activity, then reseat the cable, if not then, swap with a known working cable/SFP adaptor.
  4. If a known working cable is used, but still no connectivity, then change the hub/switch port to a known working port. Also ensure that the hub/switch is powered on.
  5. Check the status in the operating system if it is still enabled.
  6. Remove then power off the server, remove the power cable from the power supplies and press the power button to perform a power drain and then connect the power cable to the power supplies and check for the network status.
  7. If it is still not up, then clear the server's NVRAM.

Re: Query: Proliant DL360 Gen10 - Ethernet not working

@TVVJ Hi,
The problem is not resolved. Could it be that the LOM-ports doesn't support a switch with 10/100 Mbit/s ports?

Re: Query: Proliant DL360 Gen10 - Ethernet not working

Hello,

The ports are compatible with the speeds mentioned.

You check for any firewall or port blockers preventing traffic to or from the server and also for blocked ports on the switch/hub port to which the server is connected.
