ProLiant DL360 Gen9 TPM compatibility

Hi,

Can you please help me with some info regarding TPM 2.0 compatibility with DL360 Gen9 servers. We have an old server and we want to use it as an esxi in vmware and create some windows 11 machines on it.

Is TPM 2.0 compatible with this server? Is 745823-B21 the right module for this server?

Thank you for your support!

BR, Emil

Re: ProLiant DL360 Gen9 TPM compatibility

Hi,

As per the QuickSpecs, 745823-B21 is HPE Trusted Platform Module 2.0 Kit.
NOTE:This option kit issupported on Gen9 servers with UEFI Mode not Legacy Mode. It is not compatible with HPE ProLiant Gen8 servers or earlier generation variants.
NOTE: HPE Gen9 servers purchased earlier may require latest BIOS update to be compatible.

BIOS Version: 2.00_12-27-2015(A) (4 Apr 2016), enhancements:
Added support for an optional Trusted Platform Module (TPM) 2.0.

Is your server BIOS version above 2.0?  You will not be able to download latest BIOS unless you have a contract/warranty.

Thank You!
