ProLiant DL380 G5 Raid Array BBWC Battery Replacement
I was curious what the general procedure is for replacing the raid array battery...what I mean is, Do you have to power down or can you do a hot swap of the battery? Also if you power down, which I assume you do, is there any risk of losing info anything that the battery retains?
I just want to be safe about it since this is a very specifc battery and I dont want to loose anything while replacing this. Any thoughts, info and advise is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Re: ProLiant DL380 G5 Raid Array BBWC Battery Replacement
hey,
You need to shutdown the server.
Replace battery
Turn server back on, you will loose nothing.
(There will be a message at startup saying that the battery is charging)
Cheers
Alex
