Proliant DL380 G7 - Not detecting PCI raid controller
HI all
I have recently purchased a DL380 G7 for internal dev use.
I also bought a Smart array P812 to use with an External MS60 drive array.
With the card installed in the PCI Express X8 slot on the riser, its not detected at all. Swapping the riser to the other slot makes no difference. There are 2 green LED's illuminated at the end of the card, but thats it. Removing all SAS connections doesnt change it either.
The BIOS does not show the card under the list of PCI devices either. The P812 Documentation shows that it should be compatible. What am I missing here?
Many thanks in advance for the assistance.

Re: Proliant DL380 G7 - Not detecting PCI raid controller
For others on here.
The card was faulty, it was only showing 2 of the 5 post LED's on it.
Replacing the card resolved the problem!
