1) My proliant has a drive cage (pn: 366862-001).
I bought a 68-pin SCSI drive (Seagate 73GB) and as I see it, the cage allows only 80-pin disks. Is there any workaround for this? I knew that the ports on the mainboard were 68-pin, that's why I didn't bought the 80-pin disk.
I'm also buying a SmartArray 641 for it, which has also 68-pin ports. Should I buy another cage which supports 68-pin SCSI disks?
2) While using SCSI disks, can I also install SATA disks in the server? Do I need to buy another disk cage?
Sorry for the newbie questions, I'm just a little confused.
Thanks.

Re: Proliant ML350 4Gp cables/SCSI/RAID
You can mount two none hot-plug HDD with brackets in upper bays. Otherwise you need drive caddy to convert from 68 to 80 as power included with 80. U320 drive caddy can be a solution, but not guaranteed fort all SW, Monitoring and performance and even communication to work properly.
If you decide to use two non hot-plug here is part number for cable 367168-001

Re: Proliant ML350 4Gp cables/SCSI/RAID
What if I replace my 68-pin disk to a 80-pin one, will SA641 work with it (having a 366862-001 cage)?
I'm not sure if you've answered the 2) question. (my english is bad)

Solutionhttp://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/servers/proliantstorage/drives-enclosures/hotplug-ultra3/index.html
With previous model ML350 G4 two cages were used:
366862-001 hard drive cage with SCSI simplex / duplex backplane
370782-001 hard drive cage non-hot-plug
Per quick specs G4p won't take 370782-001.
2). For SATA drives you need SATA/SAS Cage 390547-001 it takes Up to 6 HDD it will replace SCSI cage.
Two bay cages designed to take only 2 x U320 SCSI HDD 244059-B21 and can be installed in upper media bays.

Re: Proliant ML350 4Gp cables/SCSI/RAID
I'll put them in my cage, connect the cage to the Smart Array 641 and hopefully it will work :) I guess I'll also drop the SATA drives, buying two other HDD cages is not an option for me...
Thanks again.
