Proliant ML350 Gen10 error log

Hi Good day. I have a problem with Proliant ML350 Gen10

The server is not booting, and the logs is "uncorrectable machine check exception (Processor 1, apic id 0x00000008, Bank 0x00000003, Status 0xBE000000' 00800400, Address 0xFFFFF802' 6D5CA83B, Misc 0xFFFFF802' 6D5CA83B)."

Can someone help me  diagnose the error.

Thank you.

Re: Proliant ML350 Gen10 error log

Hello!

Looking at the error code, I feel it's a hardware issue. However, you may give a try to below instructions:

1. Ensure that all cables and components inside the server are securely connected. Pay special attention to the processor and its socket. Make sure it is seated properly.

2. If you are comfortable doing so, you can try reseating the processor.

3. Ensure that you have the latest firmware and driver updates installed for your server. You can visit the support page: to download the appropriate updates for your Proliant ML350 Gen10 model.

4. Some issues can arise due to faulty memory modules or a problematic CPU. Run diagnostic tests to check the integrity of your memory modules and CPU. HPE provides tools such as HPE Insight Diagnostics, HPE Intelligent Provisioning, or HPE iLO (Integrated Lights-Out) that can help you perform these tests.

See if these instructions helps you! Let me know how it goes.....

Hello,

It is recommended to update the server's BIOS to the latest version. You may download it from the HPE ProLiant ML350 Gen10 server's driver and download page.

Re: Proliant ML350 Gen10 error log

Thank you I will check all the connected hardware. Upon booting, USB ports are also not working, mouse and keyboard are not detected. Even the internal USB port is not working.

You can give a try to below stuff:

* Ensure that all USB cables are securely connected to both the server and the devices you are trying to connect (mouse and keyboard). Sometimes, loose connections can cause connectivity issues.

* If your server has multiple USB ports, try connecting your mouse and keyboard to different ports to see if any of them are functioning properly. This will help determine if the issue is specific to certain ports or if it affects all USB ports on the server.

* If possible, try connecting different USB devices to the server (e.g., USB flash drive, external hard drive) to see if they are recognized. This will help determine if the problem is limited to the mouse and keyboard or if it affects all USB devices.

* Restart your server and access the BIOS/UEFI settings. Look for any USB-related settings or options that may be affecting the functionality of the USB ports. Ensure that USB functionality is enabled and configured correctly.

* If you suspect that the USB-related settings in the BIOS/UEFI may be causing the issue, you can try resetting the settings to their default values. Refer to the server's documentation or contact HPE support for instructions on how to perform a BIOS/UEFI reset.

* If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be a hardware problem with the USB ports or the server's motherboard. In this case, it is recommended to contact HPE technical support for further assistance.
