Recently I noticed in ILO that one ethernet port of the NIC has the status unknown.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out that the ethernet cable for said port was not plugged in.
I wish to be alerted directly when an Ethernet port changes status to unknown / down.
Is ILO capable of sending such alerts? If so how can I configure this?
Thanks for your assistance.

SolutionHi,
you should see these events in the "Integrated Management Log" Tab.
To get notified, there are multiple possibilities.
One common is Notified by Mail, (direct out of iLO) but to configure, you need the iLO Advanced License.
Other are SNMP, Syslog, iLO Amplifier, OneView, or any other external Monitoring Software.
