"Discovery Failed" HP Smart Update Manager

I am having a PSP 7.91 Discovery Failed problem. I have attached the HPSUM folder information. I am not sure what the issue is with it, but I did confirm that the language and regional information all says English and we did install the 7.91 firmware. This is a ML350 G3 server.

Re: "Discovery Failed" HP Smart Update Manager

hi

I've seen this issue several times so:

- Remove any attached device to the server.
(storage, ...)

- and try this
Once the files are extracted (from PSP .exe file) look for file name: bp000344.cmd and double click on it.
The setup will run in a command prompt window.

- update Firmware CD.

try and let us know

Re: "Discovery Failed" HP Smart Update Manager

bp000344.cmd updated my drivers. That took care of it.

Matt,

Can you please reattach the hpsum files from the discovery failed session? The file that is currently attached doesn't see mto be a valid zip file.

Thanks,

Kim

Re: "Discovery Failed" HP Smart Update Manager

I removed many of the .exe files from this zip to make it fit in the 1mb size limit here.
