"Drive Array Controller Failure (Slot 0)" error on DL380 G4
Errors (these errors were logged within 1min of each other:
1. "Drive Array Controller Failure (Slot 0)" - Insight Management Logs.
2. "Too Many runtime ECC errors on:
Array Controller in slot 1.
Controller restarted without SIMM." - Event Viewer
Server:
DL380 G4
2+1 72GB SCSI HDD's (RAID 1) attached to onboard SCSI (firmware ver 2.36)
4+1 300GB SCSI HDD's (RAID 5) attached to 6400 SCSI card
History:
3 months ago I had the battery on a 6400 SCSI card die; replaced it; things were good.
2 weeks ago HDD goes bad on onboard controller; replaced it; things were good for 2 days.
Now I am getting the two errors stated above.
Question:
I am starting to worry about this production machine. What more can I do to diagnose possible problems with the controllers on this machine? I found the errors in the logs but the Insight diagnostics tool reports no errors.

Re: "Drive Array Controller Failure (Slot 0)" error on DL380 G4
Hi,
Could you please Run an ADU report (Array diagnostic utility) and attach the *.zip file
Is to diagnose the Storage Subsystem
thanks

Re: "Drive Array Controller Failure (Slot 0)" error on DL380 G4
hi
my recommendation:
check the controller, reseat the controller.
check cables.
try updating the firmware
