"No root disk controller found".

Help Needed
I am trying to install SCO UNIX 5.0.5 manually rather than form SmartStart.
The hard disk is a SCSI 18.20 GB drive and the controller is COMPAQ INTEGRATED DUAL CHANNEL WIDE ULTRA2 SCSI at port 2.
I have dowloaded the latest Compaq Extended Supplement 5.38B software which included the BTLD drivers.
I have also downloaded from SCO the boot diskette OSS604a.
I boot with the aforementioned diskette and then I link it to "ad160" but UNIX cannot locate the hard drive and prompts a warning message "No root disk controller found".

Can anybody help on how I should link it or whether I'm using the correct procedure.

Thanks

The problem is that I get the error message

Re: "No root disk controller found".

You boot the system with the SCO install CD. Then link in the required Compaq "cha" driver that is on the Compaq BTLD disk, at the Unix boot prompt. See the readme file on the last disk of the EFS set for installation instructions and the boot prompt link examples.
