after update bios, RAID Controller not detected from Intelligent Provisioning

not controllers detected in Smart Storage Administrator

my controller is p408i-a

I updated Intelligent Provisioning but notworking

Hi,

Is this controller detected during POST?
Is this controller detected in iLO GUI?
Can you check Diagnostics from UEFI?

I can think of physical troubleshooting like, Reseating the controller or clearing the NVRAM from S6 switch.

BTW, when you did the bios update, there was a note saying, This version of the System ROM should be paired with Server Platform Services (SPS) Firmware 04.01.05.002.

Dont detected during POST

I don't remember This version of the System ROM should be paired with Server Platform Services (SPS) Firmware 04.01.05.002.

I physically moved controller and  installed it again ,not working

clearing the NVRAM from S6 switch ,not working

I don't think it's a hardware problem, because it's just after bios update

Hi,

If you have another P408i-a, you can try that in this slot and this controller in another server, likewise you will come to know if its a controller or system board issue.
You may also contact HPE Support and log a case.

In one of the cases for a issue after bios update, a customer had downgraded the BIOS to a previous version where it was working well, but I dont know how to do this, nor I can find a documentation.

I download spp verion 2023 for downgrade

At the moment the server will not boot from the USB I created for the purpose. The USB is shown in the boot menu, but when I try booting from it, the screen just blinks black and then it return to the boot menu

Why doesn't it boot, I already updated with the same flash usb

Hi,

May be bootable file is corrupt in the usb media.
If still issue persist, try contacting HPE Support for help.

I was finally able to boot with ilo virtual media

And I succeeded downgrade version

But there is still the problem of not detected controller

Is there a way I can install the controller manually? Or a special setting at ilo?

Hi,

Please refer to the installation guides, there is no special settings in iLO.

Actually it happen the same to me after upgrading to the same version, i lost the raid controller.
