RAM Upgrade
Hi There,
Currently I wan't to upgrade our Proliant 400 to the maximum supported memory of 384MB. All information I have relating to this from Compaq suggests a maximum of 128MB x 3 DIMM's to achieve this. I have information from another source however that say's I can put in a 256MB and 2 x 64MB DIMM's as an alternative.
Could anyone please confirm if this is true, before I order a 256MB DIMM?

Re: RAM Upgrade
You have a PIII-500 model - it can go beyond 384MB... up to 768 and 256MB DIMMs are supported.

Re: RAM Upgrade
I also have a ram upgrade question for the Proliant 400. What determines the maximum memory capacity / DIMM size. I previously upgraded from a PII 400 to a PIII 550 processor. Does processor type/speed control the memory configuration?
