Read Errors Hard 0x00000006 (Since Factory) and (Since Reset) 0 Errors

Hi all,

I have on server DL360 G6 in ADU report this situation:

Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot : Internal Drive Cage at Port 1I : Box 1 : Drive Cage on Port 1I : Physical Drive (300 GB SAS) 1I:1:4 : Monitor and Performance Statistics (Since Factory)

Read Errors Hard                     0x00000006

And below that it stands:

Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot : Internal Drive Cage at Port 1I : Box 1 : Drive Cage on Port 1I : Physical Drive (300 GB SAS) 1I:1:4 : Monitor and Performance Statistics (Since Reset)

   Read Errors Hard                     0x00000000

Can anyone explain to me what "(Since Factory) and (Since Reset)" means?

There is scheduled software upgrade of this server, so can we proceed with upgrade, or do we need to replace disk?

Thanks in advance,

Best regards,

Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot : Internal Drive Cage at Port 1I : Box 1 : Drive Cage on Port 1I : Physical Drive (300 GB SAS) 1I:1:4 : Monitor and Performance Statistics (Since Factory)
Read Errors Hard 0x00000006

Smart Array P410i in Embedded Slot : Internal Drive Cage at Port 1I : Box 1 : Drive Cage on Port 1I : Physical Drive (300 GB SAS) 1I:1:4 : Monitor and Performance Statistics (Since Reset)
Read Errors Hard 0x00000000

Monitor and Performance Statistics (Since Factory) = Since the Installation of this disk
Monitor and Performance Statistics (Since Reset) = Since the last reboot of the server.

6 error count doesnt warrant the replacement of disk. Storage controller in combination with SMART feature will decide if the disk needs replacement and mark the disk as Predictive Failure or Failed.

If the disk is not marked as failed, it shouldnt be replaced.
