Reset to device
We have a DL580 G4, running W2K3 SP2 x64. We've had a couple of occurrences of Event 129:
Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued
The effect of this was that the OS hung for about 2 minutes while this kept occurring, after which the system was operating normally again.
What does this actually indicate? Is this a failure of a component or is this a feature that was activated by some other condition? What would cause this to happen?
Thanks,
Markus

Re: Reset to device
It may be related to STORPORT.SYS driver.
Please see this advisory.

I hope this helps.

Re: Reset to device
What actually causes the device to reset though?
