scsi cable
what kind of scsi cable do i need for my 1600? the i/o cage poked a hole in mine.

as fare as i can see you have:
Ultra320 SCSI port for external peripherals
If you do a search at:
http://partsurfer.hp.com/cgi-bin/spi/main
for teh above specification you get a lot of hits.
1 hit could be:

do a ioscan like this to get info on the scsi type:
ioscan -funC ext_bus
