Smart-2SL Array Configuration
I am setting up a Prolient 3000 and trying to configure the array. When I run the system utility and configure the drives, I get 9 logical drive from the 9 physical drives. At that point I used Computer Management to span the drive to get larger volumes. Is this the way it is done?

Re: Smart-2SL Array Configuration
Hi Dan;
You should be using the Array Configuration Utility on the SmartStart CD to configure the array.
With the hard drives connected to the 2SL controller, boot the server off the SmartStart CD and run this utility.
The default configuration on more than two drives creates a RAID5 set across the drives with one logical drive spanning them.
Hope this helps,
Janine
