SmartCache on Vmware host with Veeam Backups

Hi,

My situation is described here:

But I am wanting to backups the VMs hosted on a Gen9 Proliant with DAS and Read/Write SmartCache enabled.

Veeam uses VMware snapshots to backup the VMs, as asked in the link above, is there anything to worry about the fidelty of the backups? or will SmartCache work transprently?
