SP6a SRP Update Blue Screen
Quite a few people are busy Blue Screening servers by applying the latest SP6a SRP from Microsoft.
The current list of servers 5000 5500 1850 6000 & 3000.
The problem file appears to be scsiport.sys. dated 7/16/01 Reverting back to the original 11/18/99 stops the Blue Screen.
Is anyone at Compaq aware of this problem ? If so what about a fix !

Re: SP6a SRP Update Blue Screen
actually the reason this is happening is because after ANY microsoft service pack install you need to reinstall the compaq SSD's on your system BEFORE you reboot at the end of the service pack update...follow this and you wont have the blue screen problems..

Re: SP6a SRP Update Blue Screen
Mark,
We applied the SSD 2.22 to our 1850R before rebooting after the service pack, however the server bluescreened at the login prompt with the cause being cpqntac.sys. Any ideas?
