Storageworks ultrium 232 and proliant DL380 G4

Dear ALL.

I have system DL380(with linux on it) and attached to SCSI adapter ultrium 232.
Ultrium is just attached nothing was configured(as I know).

Problem is I dont know how to check is scsi adapter work? is system see it? is atached ultrium can bee seen from linux? is driver needed? and so on.

Please advice me how I can make them both work..

command
cat /proc/scsi/scsidont output NULL(nothing)

As i know it must look like
Attached Devices
Host: SCSI0 Channel: 00 Id:00 Lun:00
