System Fan Failure 1611
I have a system fan that has failed and can not get the system to boot up. I have an external fan setup to cool the system until tomorrow when my replacement come in. How can I override the fan failure message.

Re: System Fan Failure 1611
joe:
The system fan failure cannot be bypassed. It is a hook and hanger in the bios that has integration on the hardware. The circutry that detects fan failure is there to protect the system from cooking itself.
If you were to wire a resistor into it (to simulate the fan) I am sure it would get hot and then you would have even worse trouble.
Sorry.
