Trying to erase the hard drives, RAID card hiding disk serial numbers
Hi there,
I am currently working with a Proliant DL360 G6 using a software to erase the hard drives in the machine. The problem I'm having is that the raid configuration utility is reading the serial numbers and vendor/model of the RAID Card, NOT the actual drives themselves. How can I configure the RAID utility so that it reads drive serial numbers, not raid card properties.

Re: Trying to erase the hard drives, RAID card hiding disk serial numbers
Hi,
Note: Performing these steps will erase the data on the hard drives, take a valid backup before performing these operations.
Here I would recommend two ways to do this:
1. Boot from SmartStart CD and use Erase Utility to erase the configuration.
2. Clear NVRAM from System Maintenance Switch or Remove the Coin Battery to erase the configuration.
Thank You!
I am a HP employee
