ubuntu LTS will not install on HPE DL160 GEN 10, SAS drives
Greetings, I'm trying to. install Ubuntu LTS 22.04 on and HPE DL160 gen 10. It has 4x 14TB 3.5" 7.2K 12Gbps SAS . I am booting with legacy bios and not using the onboard S100i raid controller. During the Ubuntu installation, it recognizes the drives , but insists on creating a raid 0 for each drive. even when i delete thse creations and use the physical drives the installation still things it is using a raid 0 for each time and abends. The drives all pass diagnostics. The server came with a raid 5 configured. My understanding of the S100 raid controller is that it will only handle SATA. Am I missing a configuration item in the HPE setup?
