UNSUPPORTED PROCESSORS...SYSTEM HALTED
We bought two Compaq Proliant 3000 servers. One of them was setup and configured and it is working fine till date. The 2nd one failed to boot when we attempt to set it up. The error messages has always been ?Unsupported Processor Detected?? ?System Halted?. We have tried all we could to the extent of swapping the Processors and the RAM modules on the two servers. The same processors (and RAM) from the server that failed to boot work fine on the other server while the ones that initially worked failed to work on the faulty server; we got the same error messages! When the processors were swapped to their original servers, the situation was the same.
What do you think is the problem? Kindly assist.

Re: UNSUPPORTED PROCESSORS...SYSTEM HALTED
You need to upgade the BIOS for this server. You can either remove one processor to bypass this error or turn all the maintanence switches to on and this will force a "Emergency ROM flash". Please make sure you have the proper bootable floppy for hte BIOS there are a few different flavours depending on your CPU speed. If you need assistance please provide me your e-mail address and after that we can exchange phone numbers.
