Upgrade RAM in ML350 Server
Hi, I am trying to upgrade the RAM in a ML350 Rack mounted server, and have purchased a 1Gb Kingston chip KTH8348/1G but cannot get the RAM to read with the 2 x existing 512Mb HP chips on the motherboard. The motherboard has 4 slots total. The kingston chip appears to work by itself.
Do the RAM chips need to be in pairs, and do I need to buy another 1Gb RAM chip?
Thanks....

Re: Upgrade RAM in ML350 Server
Hi Peter,
ML350g4 can either have one stick of memory (and nothing else), or paired modules (so if more than one stick of RAM, then everything has to be in pairs)...
hope that helps.

Re: Upgrade RAM in ML350 Server
yeah, they probably should have a sticker to warn people... I was a victim of that too.
It would be great if you can assign point too! Thanks.
